WHO AM I

My Story & Mission

My name is Henry. I was born in Orange, NSW, Australia, and spent most of my childhood moving from town to town every few years. Starting over so often taught me how to make friends quickly, but it also left me feeling like I didn’t truly have a place to call home – in many ways, that shaped the man I would become.

My mum was a travel agent, and I was lucky enough to go overseas a few times at a young age. This instilled in me a sense of curiosity, restlessness and a desire to keep moving. It wasn’t long before I realised that travel wasn’t just something I enjoyed… it was part of who I am.

Growing up, I didn’t have the strongest male role models. I saw plenty of examples of how not to show up as a man: irresponsible, emotionally unavailable, inconsistent, or absent altogether. That left me confused about masculinity, about who I was supposed to become, and unsure about what being a “good man” even meant.

A big reason I created The Roaming Man is because I had to learn these things the hard way – and I want to pass on the lessons I wish I had.

Music was always one of my biggest outlets. I grew up playing guitar and singing, and it became the place where I could express emotions I didn’t know how to talk about. But despite that outlet, by age 20, I hit a breaking point. I developed severe health anxiety – the kind that consumes you – because I didn’t know how to process stress or emotions in a healthy way.

That struggle pushed me into a long search for answers. I became obsessed with understanding the body, the mind, and what true health actually means. Through books, podcasts, breathwork, movement, therapy and slowly building healthy habits, I learned to manage my anxiety and rebuild my life from the inside out.

Over the past four years, I’ve been travelling the world – living in new cultures, challenging myself, expanding my perspective, and doing the inner work I once avoided. Travel didn’t just change my surroundings… it changed me. It made me grow in ways I didn’t expect. It made me face myself honestly. It gave me the space to become the man I always knew I could be.

The Roaming Man is my way of sharing that journey – helping other men build strong bodies, grounded minds, and meaningful lives through inner devotion, connection, health, and the transformative power of seeing the world.
